Sarah, you are si inspiring! You have so many beautiful pieces, fabrics and pillows etc. I have none of those. My home is in a rural town and is a Victorian cottage. I can sew and craft so I'm 8nspired to pull out my fabrics and threads and make a crazy quilt bed runner and some pillows to add in to my decor. 8 HAVE A CaBINET WITH GLASS DOORS thAT I painted black many years ago. I'm going to add IoD rub onsto the sides in hopes it will look a lot like a vintage toletray. I will put my tiny 2ft. CHRISTmAS TREE ON IT IN FRINT OF MY LIVING ROOM WINDOW. I'D LOVE TO KNOW WHAT YOU WOULD DO IN A SIMILAR SITUATION. YOU ARE SO CREATIVE. THERE ARE NO THRIFT STORES IN MY AREA. SO MAKE DO OR DO WITHOUT IS MY MANTRA. HAVE A WONDERFUL HOLIDAY SEASON!

When moving furniture on wood or vinyl flooring, use pot holders under the legs

i must be weird ! i move my couch , loveseat , chairs , and end tables around all the time , even my desk ! The only thing honestly that stays in the same place all the time for me is our entertainment center and Tv an one book case . even the other two book cases and the bed an the dressers. it all gets moved an rearranged in my house ! plus i’m now sixty eight years old and i move it all myself with no help . my family even my husband they all refuse flatly to help me with anything . so i do not ask for help i jump in an do it myself . i even once brought an old kitchen cabinet upstairs from our basement alone . i mean an old big one , with layers of heavy wood in it . this thing weighs over a hundred pounds i would guess . it really is that huge and heavy . i parked it in an alcove outside our bedroom door to store linens in . This meant not just bringing it up from the basement but dragging it through three different rooms of the house to get it where it now sits . To this day my Husband is still dumbfounded and cannot figure out how i ever accomplished this amazing feat as He calls it !

I’m reading the Bible in a year. I can’t imagine trying to do it in 90 days. This is the third time that I have gone through the Bible. Each time I learn even more than the last. Encouraged four other people to do it with me. I think two have dropped out.

I am praying you all get better, you all seem to be getting sick often. Hoping your trip will do you all good to get out and breathe clean air and enjoy the family. I really miss all your thrifting hauls, I have noticed that the prices are just going up and up. I live here in the Southern California area and it is getting harder and harder to thrift. I am hoping that I could one day take a trip to Texas down south it seems like there are many places to thrift.

The felt pad stick ons would be a great way to save your floor. There also are what’s called sliders that you can stick under furniture legs when moving them. Hope you feel better soon and are able to relax while camping. 😘

May I make a little suggestion? Please look into using Murphy's oil for cleaning/dusting your wood. It's more of a natural product and it's made for wooden furniture. I put some in a glass spray bottle with water. Spray and wipe with a cotton rag. I also use it on my wooden floors. I absolutely LOVE all your plants. I'm currently trying to get myself a beautiful collection of plants and really want some tree's in the house. We live in a small house with minimal space, but plants just have a way of bringing the outside in and making our homes feel so cozy AND gives us natural beauty.

I hope you are feeling better at the time you are reading this. sometimes just getting something done, like you did with the rearranging of the chairs, helps you to get on with your "healing". Most plants don’t like to be moved. If you move them a lot they start to drop their leaves.

I want to open my Bible and start reading.For me I think it’s the sign of the times! We have yellow squash and zucchini also but I really don’t like the yellow squash. I’ll give it away.

I have waited patiently for the perfect items for my home, often asking the Lord for guidance. Many times I’ve been impressed to stop at a certain store and have walked in and spotted the exact thing I was hunting for. Always thrifted and several items I’ve resold after many years of use and they’re still in great condition!

How about matching cushions to further tie them together. I wouldn’t paint them, but perhaps a sealant. I miss Smokey. 🐈
